Mont St. Michel and our last Couple Days!!

Monday, August 18, 2014

We wanted to explore another area of France, and I have always wanted to see Mont St. Michel. It is an old monastery build in the year 900AD. It has been there for over a 1000 years! It got turned into a prison sometime as well, which its in the perfect location for since it is separated by land by the high tide and if you try to walk through the tide, there is quick sand! People have actually died and we were pretty sure we saw ghosts swimming in the sea around the abbey!

The abbey was at the top of the island, but leading up to it was a small town full of shops and restaurants... incidentally, it looked like Hogwarts!!

It may have been an 8 hour round trip in one day but it was totally worth it!! By the time we were back to our hotel we were starving, and believe it or not we were tired of Crepes, Pizza, and "french food" aka Fries/Steak/Burgers (tourist "french food"). We decided to go to a chinese restaurant and when we found it it was more incredible than we thought: "Dragons Elysses" haha!

Finally, our last day in Paris, we decided to spend the day shopping and eating! We went to the Haagen daz restaurant!!  Super fancy!
And finally had French onion soup! It was the most amazing soup... And I hate soup.!

and went to the amazing Gallery LaFayette... and closed the week with the amazing "La Belle et la Bete".. and our week of selfies was finally photobombed!

We then went to the most super cute macaroon shop! Laduree :)
