J'adore parler francais

The next stop on our euro trip was Brussels! Belgium is split up into French and Dutch influenced cities... Or Flemish.... Brussels was obviously French, it felt like belle was going to pop out and start singing.... Bonjour!!!

Luckily I took five years of French in high school, and Lauren and I were able to fill in each other's language gaps :)

 It was a beautiful city with chocolate, waffles,and beautiful  buildings galore!!!

 The trees wear sunscreen!!!

 I didn't know Belgium had its own versionif the Eiffel Tower which is atomium.... The most beautiful thing ever!! It was built for the first world fair after World War Two to demonstrate modernism and technology. Here is the view from the top:

Also, we witnessed a protest::::

 We saw the fire and our first instinct as should we run??? Then we hear a ton of other Americans around thinking the same thing,... At least we felt at home!! What really happened was the firemen were protesting by setting a fire they refused to put out haha... The police didn't know what to do! When I mentioned this at worm my Dutch coworkers said "sounds like Belgians, the closer you get to the French border, the loopier you get"....
