Viva Las Vegas

This summer when I went home for a training, my mom and I decided to take a short trip to Vegas, and get away. We stayed at the Paris hotel and were anxious because had gotten tickets to Celine Dion!

The last time we went to Vegas together was October 2001- yep I was around 11 and had no business doing anything except the kiddie arcade- My mom went with her aunt and uncle and I would just hang.... I've been here when I turned 21 with my friend Megan- but it was always a dream of my moms to come here with me. And we finally made that a reality!

Of course in that hot, hot desert one of the first things to look for while exploring is the heaven that is a frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity. Serendipity started off in New York City, but now there is one in Caesars Palace too. Its very cute and outdoorsy.

We explored all the major hotels, had a little fun at the slots and of course enjoyed ourselves with food! We found this adorable café inside the Bellagio- I mean look at these beautiful cakes- almost as beautiful as their colourful art ceiling and gardens.

Here we were at the gardens:

We also went to my favourite place "Bubba Gump Shrimp", we have been to several Bubba Gumps and try to go whenever we know there is one in the city: it all started in Maui when I was 16 and then NYC, Orlando, Galveston, Kemah, and now Vegas.

We also got dressed up to go to Bobby Flay's MESA bar & grill. It was absolutely spectacular. I am in love with Bobby Flay, but I am not partial to how delicious this food was. Jalapeno bread to start, tiger shrimp and blue corn tamales, delicious steak... unfortunately, we were too excited to take pictures of the food- and that's my biggest regret!

Finally, we received notice that Celine Dion was sick and we had to pic a different show to go to... disappointed we picked Michael Jackson's Cirque du Soleil- "One". It was amazing!! They did this cool thing where they took pictures of all the audience members and then used it in "Paparazzi" to show that they can use a picture to say just about anything.

Afterwards at the Bellagio fountain show, they used Michael Jackson music- so it was a wonderful night!!

We love these mother daughter trips and I'm sure we have plenty of adventures left to come ahead!!

We even found my mom's favourite bar!!

I absolutely love Vegas- Like Disneyland for Adults- that's for sure!!
